Connecting Elders from Ethno-cultural Communties

Connecting Elders from Ethno-cultural Communities (CEEC) is a project that trains and supports the work of Elder Brokers.

Elder Brokers are community members who have committed to making connections among older adults and between older adults and The Way In – Calgary Older Adult Services.

The Way In – Calgary Older Adult Services provides free information and support for all older adults in Calgary.

• The Way In can help you to:

Get information about available services

Fill out application forms for pensions, benefits, transportation, and/or housing

Get the right services and programs for you

Meet new people in your community

Get help for dealing with Elder Abuse

Talk to someone about what you need

The following communities have Elder Brokers:

Bengali

Burmese

Colombian

Eritrean & Ethiopian

Farsi/Persian

Filipino

Gujarati

Hindi

Korean

Latin American/Latino

Middle Eastern/Arabic

Polish

Punjabi

Romanian

Vietnamese

These Elder Brokers will help connect older adults from these communities to The Way In – Calgary Older Adult Services.
